STONE HEAVEN

This property faced a unique but not uncommon challenge, much of the land had limited solar access to grow food due to existing plantings and aspect etc. There was one decent sized area facing north to north west but it was too steep to safely and easily access and grow food on. The brief here was simple, terrace the site to reduce the incremental slopes in preparation for a food forest. Dry stacked sandstone was the obvious option for its beauty and longevity, plus there were some existing sandstone walls in the site to blend in with and surrounding bushland with beautiful sandstone abound.
